2027 Lincoln Nautilus Looks Sleeker and More Refined

Car and Driver · 2026-08-13 21:20

- The 2027 Lincoln Nautilus receives a facelift and minor styling upgrades as part of its mid-cycle refresh.

- New Nautilus models now have a more rigid grille, geometric wheels, a simpler back end, and more interior options.

- The refreshed lineup starts at around $55,000, and the mid-size luxury SUVs are now available to order; models will reach dealers early next year.

The Lincoln Nautilus is rolling into 2027 with a fresh face and familiar features. Its mid-cycle update introduces a new grille and updated details, but the makeover keeps the Nautilus’s traditional design language and appearance.

At the front, the new Nautilus features a wider, more angular look than before. The grille is simplified, with only an illuminated Lincoln badge interrupting a pattern of thin, vertical diamond shapes. Underneath the grille, Premiere and Black Label models wear a black, rectangular trim panel marked by horizontal lines. Reserve models look a bit more fluid, with a geometric shape lined in black sweeping from one end of the bumper to the other.

The Nautilus’s side profile looks nearly identical to its older sibling. New wheels, however, give it a more angular flair. Lincoln replaced the thin, fluid spokes of the older models with chunky geometric designs. Five options are available, depending on the trim level.

Around back, 2027 models replace chrome and black trim elements for a horizontal striped black bar, similar to the one on the front bumper, that stretches across the rear. The Nautilus’s traditional long, sweeping taillights maintain their general shape, but the new version ditches the older model’s chrome accents for a minimalistic design that features slim red lights and a Lincoln logo across the rear.

The full lineup is available in a new Nocturnal Blue color, and the Black Label trim adds a Frosted Fig plum color that complements Eminent Hour, a new interior theme inspired by a desert sunset.

In addition to Eminent Hour, which is a darker, warmer interior fitted with copper-colored ash wood panels, Black Label vehicles can be packed with Lincoln’s Elysian Light interior, which takes on a much brighter feel with light-colored seats and light blue accents.

Premiere and Reserve trims can now be had in a new Afterglow theme, as well as Black Onyx, which got a slight refresh for 2027 that contrasts a black lower panel with a light upper cabin. The Hot Chocolate theme is still available in the Reserve model only.

Lincoln Rejuvenate, the brand’s relaxation system, remains an option on Reserve and Black Label trims. A new Renew package, available on the Reserve trim, can link the rejuvenation system with upgraded 24-way adjustable front seats.

The 2027 model maintains its standard 48-inch panoramic screen that displays gauges, navigation, entertainment, and communication information across the width of the dashboard. Lincoln also equips every Nautilus with four years of the Lincoln Security Package and BlueCruise, which enables hands-free driving on select highways.

This refresh only affects the exterior and interior of the Nautilus, so it’s powered by the same turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engines as last year. Nonhybrid versions make 250 horsepower and mate with an eight-speed automatic transmission, while the hybrid option pairs with a continuously variable transmission and makes 285 combined horsepower with the help of an electric motor.

The 2027 Nautilus starts at around $55,000. Orders are open now, and new models are expected to reach Lincoln showrooms sometime early next year.
